Other folders may appear, such as My Music, My Videos…
💡 Tip: To ensure your documents are backed up, we strongly recommend moving them into these folders that are synced with OneDrive.
File availability:

Want to access your files instantly? OneDrive lets you keep a copy on your hard drive.
On the other hand, if you’re running out of disk space, OneDrive allows you to keep files accessible without taking up space on your computer.
Right-click a file or folder and choose one of these options:
Always keep on this device – so you don’t have to wait for files to load from OneDrive when you need them.
Free up space – removes the local copy to save disk space, but files will take longer to open since they’ll load from the cloud.
File version history:
Accidentally overwrote an important document? No worries—you can go back in time and restore the previous version.

Share a file or folder:
Need to send a large document or video to a client? With OneDrive, you can share a secure link, set an expiration date, and even add a password.

You can also share a link via other channels.

Then select who can access the link, the sharing type, expiration date and optionally a password.

Manage access:
Managing access to your files is essential. Here’s how to adjust or revoke permissions:
Files or folders that are shared will display this special icon.
